Ukraine and the EU have begun talks on further facilitation of visa regime. On May 6,the Director of the consular service of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Olefirov told Ukrainian journalists about it. “We started negotiations on amendments to the agreement between Ukraine and EU on of visa regime facilitation,” he said.
The Foreign Ministry representative said that new negotiations provide especially, the expanding a list of citizens enjoying additional preferences from the Agreement.
Free visas and set of documents, which are sufficient for the purpose if the visit, will be introduced to the three categories of citizens – representatives of religious, professional, and non-governmental organisations.
Olefirov said that there will be a technical consultation on this issue, and in July, both sides plan to sign the document during the second round of talks.
