The German government agreed with the idea of imposing the visa-free regime for the Russian officials.
The position of the federal government was announced by Martin Schefer, spokesman of the German foreign ministry. "I can confirm that the minister of interior and the foreign minister jointly wrote a letter asking for EU visa liberalisation for Russian service passport holders," said Martin Schefer.
