Experts of the Civic Initiative Europe without Barriers took part in international conference regarding the mobility issues of the Eastern European states. The event was organized by the EU Parliament member Pavel Zalevski, European student forum (AEGEE) and informational portal EuroActiv.
Among the participants of the discussion there were the EU Parliament members, representatives of the European Commission, members of the NGOs both from the EU and Eastern Partnership states, members of the student organizations who support the idea of youth mobility in Europe.jpg)
Iryna Sushko, Head of the CI Europe without Barriers, stressed in her speech that visas were archaic and ineffective instruments of the deterrence of illegal migration. Experts of the Europe without Barriers gave their recommendations regarding the improvement of the EU Visa Code which could enhance the effectivness of the use of the provisions of the Visa Code by the EU consular establishments.
During the event the experts of the CI Europe without Barriers opened the photo exhibition “Visas? What the reason?” in the building of the EU Parliament.
