May 21, 2011, 14:30 EWB will conduct a public debate and public action "Removing visa barriers together! Europe is our home! " supported by the International Renaissance Foundation within the Days of Europe in Ukraine.
Topics for a discussion:
• Why do
visas still exist in Europe? Why do Ukrainians
need visas to travel to the EU?
• Why is
visa-free regime beneficial for the both EU and Ukraine?
• How to
achieve the visa liberalisation for Ukrainian citizens? Which policies of
Government of Ukraine are needed? How can the EU assist?
• What can
citizens do for freedom of movement in Europe?
• What is
to be demanded (required) from the Government of Ukraine? … from politicians
of the EU? … from consular services?
Questions, submitted for discussion: "Why is visa-free regime for Ukraine beneficial for the EU?" and "What benefits will Ukrainian citizens have from visa-free regime?"
Except public debates, the campaign on abolishing the visa regime will be implemented, which will be the beginning of a no visa campaign "Removing visa barriers together! Europe is our home ". The symbol of artificial administrative barriers wall paper will be made, which will be cut by the representatives of the Ukrainian society and the EU community.
