The nationwide survey within the research «Migration potential of Ukraine in the context of acquiring a visa-free regime with the EU» will be held during the second half of June 2011. It will be carried out with the efforts of a consortium of NGOs and think tanks «Europe without Barriers» supported by the International Renaissance Foundation.
The nationwide survey within the research «Migration potential of Ukraine in the context of acquiring a visa-free regime with the EU» will be held during the second half of June 2011. It will be carried out with the efforts of a consortium of NGOs and think tanks «Europe without Barriers» supported by the International Renaissance Foundation.
During the research,
which is coordinated by the Donetsk Institute of Social Research and Policy
Analysis, 3,000 respondents from three regional clusters (West, South and Southeast
of Ukraine) will be interviewed.
The aim of
the research is to identify migration risks, the potential of Ukrainian
citizens to travel to the EU countries in the context of acquiring the right to
travel to the EU and Schengen states without visas.
The expected
results are important for the Government of Ukraine and the relevant EU bodies that
are responsible for assessment of
the tasks in the field of security, freedom and justice
The project
outcomes will enhance the expertise, informational and analytical component of
the government action plan to implement the criteria, laid down in the block
"Migration policy and readmission" Action Plan on Visa Liberalisation.
It is expected that research outcomes will be presented in
2011.
