Poland and Sweden promise official Kyiv good news during the EU – Ukraine Summit scheduled for November 22. President of Ukraine met with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs: Poland – Radoslaw Sikorski and Sweden – Carl Bildt.
Swedish minister stressed that the purpose of the visit to Kyiv was to check the readiness of parties to the dialogue before the summit. In the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine hopes that the parties will agree on visa-free regime during the summit.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expects that the Action Plan on a visa-free regime and the text of the Association Agreement will be agreed during the Brussels summit of EU – Ukraine. The Director of Information Policy Department of Ministry for Foreign Affairs Oleg Voloshyn said: "We consider this summit as an opportunity to make a breakthrough in relations with the EU"
Europe is ready to meet
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Carl Bildt said that this time meeting with the Ukrainian head of state was very short: for Poland and Sweden, first of all, it was important to assess the readiness of the Ukrainian party to the dialogue before the summit. According to Carl Bildt, a key issue will be approval of the Association Agreement with the EU during the summit.
