A two-day visit to Ukraine of Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan started on 24th of January. It aims to intensify relations between the two countries in economic and investment spheres.
Turkish side is interested, among other things, in abolishing the visa regime between the two countries.
"Even if the talks will go mostly to the reopening of trade level, the Turkish side is still primarily interested in the issue of visas," – says an expert on Ukrainian-Turkish relations Natalia Talalay.
Ankara has already drafted a comprehensive agreement on visa-free regime for citizens of all categories and free trade and waits for Kyiv response. The feasibility of such step is studying in Ukraine now.
