A summit between the European Union and six former Soviet states will take place in Poland instead of Hungary later this year due to a scheduling conflict, Hungarian officials said Thursday.
Hungary, which holds the rotating EU presidency until July 1, was supposed to host leaders from the Eastern Partnership on May 27 in Budapest.
But the summit will now take place in Poland in the second half of the year, when Warsaw takes over the EU chairmanship, said Gergely Polner, a spokesman for the Hungarian presidency.
