The 257 out of 366 deputies, registered in the session hall, voted for the adoption of this law.
It
regulates the legal relations, associated with the establishment of a single
form and procedure for making, issuance, exchange, and transfer, removal of
documents, certifying the
nationality, persons’ identification or his special status.
The law
guarantees the realisation of such constitutional rights on freedom of
movement, free choice of the place of residence in
persons who received such documents.
Having considered the adopted law the EWB experts madethe following conclusions:
According
to the new law the passport card (the so-called new document) will be issued to
person after the birth without reaching the age of 16, as it was before.
New passports
to travel abroad, valid for 4 years, will be issued to children if necessary.
However,
the law is not expected the exclusion of old passports with photo affixed.
The lack of card definition
and list of biometric parameters that will be included to the card seems to be a very important argument in favour of law revision or clarification of it’s certain provisions..
