The draft law # 8469 as of 10.05.2011 “On Combating Human Trafficking” was presented by the MP O. Zarubinskyy.
The conclusion
of Central Scientific-Expert Office of Verkhovna Rada of
submitted Draft Law does not have a sufficient volume of the subject of legal
regulation and contains a number of controversial and legally unjustified
provisions. In this regard, we consider that its adoption is inadvisable."
At the
meeting on June 1, 2011 (Minutes # 81) The Committee on fighting Organized
Crime and Corruption decided to recommend to the Verkhovna Rada of
to reject the Draft Law of Ukraine “On Combating Human Trafficking”. The
Committee’s decision is based on the fact that the provisions of the Draft Law have
controversial and legally ungrounded nature.
