The citizens of Ukraine who want to receive a visa of Switzerland must add the ORIGINAL Work Record Book with copies of the first page and page with the last record to the basic documents package.

Of course, EWB
have to pay attention to such specific requirements of the Embassy of
Switzerland in Ukraine,
because the requirement to provide a Work Record Book for visa application encourages
applicants and human resource departments of companies to go on offense. Ukraine‘s
legislation prohibits taking out the original Work Record Books outside the companies
except the cases of employees’ dismissal (discharge).

The order management
and storage of work record books are defined by the Art. 48 of the Labour Code of Ukraine. According to the Resolution
of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine as of 27.04.1993 # 301 “On the Work
Record Books of employees”

Information
about full package of documents required for visa application is contained on
the official website of the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine

Note: Work Record Book ("trudova knyzhka") – is a document confirming employment of citizens, which is issued by the employer from the first place of work. A work record book contains the record of a person’s employment history, dates of employment, as well as other information. Employers have the duty to keep and timely update an employee’s work record book while the employee is working for the employer. On the employee’s final day of employment with an employer, the employer must complete and return the employee’s work record book, against the employee’s signature.
