Organizers will offer outcomes of the monitoring of issuing visas by Czech Republic and Greece consulates located in the cities of Donetsk and Mariupol. Research was conducted in the framework of the 4th stage of the nationwide project, managed by Public Initiative «Europe without Barriers» – Monitoring of visa policies and practices of the Member States in Ukraine, supported by the International Renaissance Foundation.

Subject of research – assessment of visa practices by the EU Member States Consulates in Donetsk region: Czech Republic and Greece.
The following issues will be discussed:
• Outcomes of monitoring of the issuance of visas, implementation of existing norms and rules (the EU-Ukraine Visa Facilitation Agreement and the EU Visa Code)
• Availability of visas, refusal rate
• The cost of visas, the share of visas free of charge
• Consular staff’s attitude to applicants
