Georgiy Beilin said in his interview that implementation of biometrics of Ukrainian production will be more cheaper than in different countries. "The cost of such reform amounted to 100 million EUR for Spain ( 2,47 EUR per person), for Germany – 700 million EUR (8,5 EUR per person), Russia – 9.4 billion EUR (63, 5 EUR per person), UK – 25 billion EUR (410 EUR per person), "In Ukraine the figure was only 27 million EUR, or 0,6 EUR per person.
According to his words the cost of travel document with an electronic chip for its introduction in Ukraine will be much lower than in other countries. He also stressed that the Ukrainian biometric passport of "EDAPS” production will be cheaper than documents of other countries and will be absolutely secure and more durable.
As was repeatedly reported in the media, the new Ukrainian passport can cost more than foreign analogues ($ 100 or more).
