On November 14, 2012 from 15.30 a.m. till 16.30 in Brussels in the building of the European Parliament and from 17.30-18.30 in the Brussels Press-Club Europe, Europe without Barriers will be helding a presentation of an art photo exhibition “Visas? What’s the Reason?” which will be accompanied with a public discussion about the borders, visas and freedom of movement in Europe. The event will be held at support of Mr. Pawel Zalewski and European Parliament – Ukraine LINK group, chaired by MEP Pawel Zalewski.

What’s the Reason?” which will be accompanied with a public discussion about the borders, visas and freedom of movement in Europe. The event will be held at support of Mr. Pawel Zalewski and European Parliament – Ukraine LINK group, chaired by MEP Pawel Zalewski.
Photo exhibition will present personal stories of famous Ukrainians who while hadn’t broken the EU visa and migration rules were refused in getting visa or faced serious difficulties. The event will show the cases of mainly public figures, thinkers, sportsmen, journalists and academics, those who constitute ”human capital” of Ukraine.
Europe without Barriers considers multiple cases presented indicate that the situation goes far beyond them as it touches the lack of communicability between the EU and Ukraine societies (and wider – with the most of Eastern non-EU Europe), creating obstacles for further European understanding and solidarity. Despite declarations, summits and agreements between the officials on different political sides, many individuals still suffer from visa barriers in Europe.
During the presentation current regulatory framework for travel in Europe, the EaP countries on the "Visa Map" of the EU, analysis of the EU MS visa policy and practices are also scheduled to be discussed.
