Migration of Ukrainian citizens to the EU countries will not increase even when the visa regime will be liberalised. Such opinion was said by the director of the Institute of Demography and Social Studies Ella Libanova.
“Migration
won’t increase, because those people who want to go abroad, they go now. The employees
but not businessmen are going to the EU countries. It is mostly people who want
to earn , "- she said.
She is also
convinced that the visa regime will not be liberalised or facilitated if there is a big gap between Ukrainian and European living standards. Ella
Libanova said that the first thing that we have to do is to improve the
Ukrainian living standards and then nobody will go abroad to earn money.
