An agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Poland on the abolition of charges for issuing national visas is to be signed during the working visit of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostyantyn Gryshchenko to Poland that started on June 6.
The visit schedule also includes talks and a meeting of the Ukrainian foreign minister with his Polish counterpart Radoslaw Sikorski, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s press service reported.
Before the visit, Gryshchenko had a working meeting with Lviv Regional Governor Mykhailo Kostiuk, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy and the leadership of regional branches of the border and customs services of Ukraine and Poland. In addition, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister examined the preparedness of the Ukrainian-Polish border for the Euro 2012 European Football Championship at the Medyka-Shehyni border crossing.
Hryschenko also met with the Ukrainian community in the Polish city of Przemysl.
The foreign ministers of Ukraine and Poland participated in the opening ceremony for the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Przemysl.
